About our Wedding Videography

Filming We approach every wedding with the desire to capture the true nature of the day. We avoid posed shooting but rather record events as they happen with a candid and documentary style. We are constantly looking for those special moments and details; a joyful tear down your mother’s face, the fine fabric of the wedding dress, the emotions of friends and relatives. These are just some of the many elements we record. These moments are raw and honest and are what recreate the emotion from your wedding day.

So what about getting a friend to do the filming for you? To try and save money, often couples will ask a friend or relative to videotape the wedding for them, but you don’t want to sit down and watch your wedding video only to say “The picture quality is so poor” or “The footage is so shaky” This is such a special day, it should be given the respect it deserves by getting someone with the right equipment and know how to capture those precious moments and then edit them professionally onto a fully personalised DVD. And besides, you don’t want one of your guests to be stuck behind a camera; you want them to be free to join in on the celebrations with you!

The Techno Stuff… At Magic Home Movies 2 camera coverage for the ceremony and parts of the reception is standard in all our packages. By using two cameras we can create a feeling of depth and fullness by having differing angles, not to mention ensuring that nothing is missed. We feel that two cameras are more than just twice as good as one but ten times as good!

Sound Sound is so important, especially during the ceremony, thus why we use a lapel microphone on the groom so nothing during your wedding vows is missed. At the reception, we always record two soundtracks of the speech’s just to be safe.

Post Production Wedding video editing is as equally important as the filming. Gone are the days of tacky video effects and videos where the music totally overrides the original audio. We edit your video leaving the original audio of those crucial moments completely intact and use techniques to create a stylish and modern DVD. Several software programs are used to edit and author the finished wedding video and a firm production schedule ensures you receive your wedding DVDs when promised.
